Cantabria is an Autonomous Region that has a surface of more than 5500 squared kilometers, and a population of more than 500,000. They are divided in the 102 municipalities that Cantabria has. The capital is Santander, which has the highest population being 185,000 inhabitants and the smallest town is Treviso with minute population of 70. Cantabria is a community that divides itself into two very different areas, coast and mountains. The most imporant coastal towns are Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Santillana del Mar, Santander, Santona, Suances and Comillas amongst others. In the interior mountainous areas the municipalites of Torrelavega, Camargo, Reinosa, Ramales de la Victoria, Puente Viesgo or Treviso.
